We’re proud to be a woman-owned business, founded by Claire, who spent 19 years working for a major international airline in airport development, crew logistics, and project management. Alongside a lifelong love of baking, Claire developed a passion for customer service, attention to detail, and well-designed process - skills that now sit at the very heart of the business. The idea for Pink Aubergine Cupcakes was born when a friend asked Claire to make cupcakes for his son’s birthday. Similar requests soon followed, and momentum quickly grew.
A pivotal moment came when Claire was asked to bake several hundred cupcakes for an airline event, far bigger than anything she had produced before. The success of that order sparked a new direction for the business, and Pink Aubergine began specialising in branded bakes. From the outset, Claire noticed that many corporate cupcakes used thin rice-paper toppers that lacked durability and impact, so she set about creating something better. After extensive research and testing, she developed a more robust edible disc using sugar paste alongside edible ink and icing sheets, delivering sharper prints, richer colour, and a premium finish that holds its shape beautifully.
Today, we specialise in branded cupcakes, logo biscuits, edible printed toppers, photo toppers, QR code toppers, and bespoke designs. Our clients include businesses across finance, life insurance, and luxury personal and automotive brands, alongside private customers celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and special occasions. Orders range from small batches of 12 to thousands - and we love a challenge.
