Getting back on track after an indulgent Easter Weekend?
I managed a full 3 days relaxing with no work over the Easter Weekend, which was absolute bliss - friends, family, chocolate and wine - and lots of it! The absolute best things in life!
However, in life everything has to balance, so back on it this week - healthy eating, exercise and putting the gin bottle away (well, just for a few days!) - the walk on the Easter Egg hunt wasn’t enough it seems and that sugar high needs to come down!
Here are a few things we will be doing over the next few weeks; can we tempt you to join us in a few? It’s not long until the winter jumpers will be put away, they hide a multitude of sins!
Eat better & cut the sugar.
Try this recipe for protein balls, they are nutritious and delicious!
OAT AND COCONUT PROTEIN BALLS
250g Medjool Dates
55g Organic Oats
30g Sunflower Seeds
30g Pumpkin Seeds
25g Desiccated Coconut
10g Date Syrup
1) Put all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until chopped and mixed. (You may want to first crush the seeds before adding the other ingredients)
2) Roll 40g of the mix on extra desiccated coconut or cocoa power to make a ball.
3) Store in the fridge

I love my sessions at Transformation HQ - for anyone in the High Peak area, I can’t recommend it enough!
3 -5 weight training sessions a week, raises my metabolism, builds muscle and makes me feel 100% better in every way.
It’s amazing how inactive we can be; I wear my FitBit every day and am sometimes amazed at how few steps I can make on days where I think I’ve been really active. My aim is to do an average of at least 12,000 steps a day in May as it is National Walking month (top tip, Ironing seems to count as steps too ;-) !!)
Walking more means being outside more so win-win!
This sounds great, however I mean water not Gin or Wine!
By drinking more, you feel more full up and less likely to snack mindlessly (writing that has just made me reach for the full glass of water sitting next to my Laptop untouched!)
As the weather gets warmer, I start to keep a bottle of chilled water in the fridge, flavoured with mint, cucumber, ginger, or fruit.
